Usually I endeavour to create timeless pieces of art, jewellery that will last and outlive me.

Recently however I take great pleasure in making rather perishable items.
Like jewellery these are also objects of desire, however of the culinary kind.
I mix chocolate, the darker varieties, with exotic fruits soaked in cognac or brandy, rum or home made fruity liqueurs, maybe add hot red chilli, cardamom, pepper and other oriental spices, nuts of course and to top it I often create filigree caramelized sugar sculptures.
These miniatures are meant to be eaten soon.
Too hot, too cold, too humid - they easily collaps.
Unlike diamonds these precious little things are not forever, forever, forever…..
